Reno@Kim Keat - Restore our lights!

restoration work
here's what we have been up to while we have some weekend mornings by ourselves. We help others to restore their old and rusty lights! Here are 3 "honeydew" sized pendent lamps which our Kim Keat couple has gotten us to restore for them. So about 2 months ago, hubs was tasked to unscrew them and give them a good wash.

Unscrewing all the nuts and bolts. Jules is particularly interested in whatever hubs is doing.
I guess it's quite a good way to have some quality time with Jules since most of our weekends are spent visiting reno sites.

part 2

 2 weeks later.
we bought 2 tins of matt black spray and give all the gold metal parts a good paint job.

part 3

3 days later.
bought 2 light bulbs from Home Fix.
And we fixed the light bulbs in and screw up the cap.
YAY!

it's done.

took us almost 2 months but hey. we don't have many weekends to idle around!

Jules: mummy! i found a naughty corner...
Jules found something to sit on and wait for us quietly at a corner.

poor kiddo waiting for us to go through all the reno in detail.

Reno@Geylang - Final Photos of Living Dining and Kitchen

Jules closing the kitchen sliding doors

Social Space

The owner had the sofa and these 2 chairs upholstered in a uber sleek grey. It looks really cool in real life and it has been in the family for 7 years now. Solid huh!

Let's take a look at the kitchen. The top cabinets are in wood laminate finish and the bottom cabinets are finished in white. The floor tiles are in dark grey with a staggering setting out. Exactly the same as how we laid our tiles at home.

above: Sink and cooker side by side
The opposite kitchen counter has a long power track to power up all the kitchen appliances.
Above: Subway tiles for the service yard.
A breakaway from our usual norm where subway tiles are used for the kitchen backsplash.

Stay tuned for the next post on the master bedroom, HIS room and bathrooms.
