Reno@B2 Maisonette - Kitchen Sauce Rack

Hello!

Here's another rack which is pretty useful to have beside your stove when you cook! It doesn't take up too much space and if you don't like to have your sauces placed at the top cabinet or have your sauces lying around on the kitchen counter, you might want to consider this sauce rack to be installed at your kitchen bottom cabinet.

something to think about!

Reno@B Maisonette - Staircase Storage

Here's another storage which we want to introduce to maisonette home owners!

instead of having deep drawers that extend to the whole of the underside staircase, we have half and half! Basically there are quite a few reasons why we do this:

  1.  tracks usually do not go that deep and even if they do, if you have uneven floor surfaces where tendency is very high for old flats, you will not be able to roll out your drawers easily.
  2. due to its deep span, you will stock up many items because you will want to use up all the available storage space, which will increase its weight and in time to come, the tracks will spoil. Plus many items in one drawer makes it hard to pull out as it's so heavy!
  3. drawers are hard to keep long or bulky items like vacuum cleaners, broom and pan.
so, the simple solution is to have a store right at the back and have not so deep drawers in the front for small items. That way you can store many items of different sizes and weight.

Hope everyone enjoy this little sharing!

Reno@B2 Maisonette - Magic Basket

hello peeps!
just to re-introduce the magic basket again for dead corners in kitchen spaces cos many of my home owners haven't seen this before. Basically it is made of 4 baskets, 2 baskets in a column. When you pull out one column of 2 baskets, the other 2 behind starts to follow out.

Reno@324H - concrete kitchen island taking form!

above: can you see the kitchen island???

We can bake!

ho ho ho.

one of our few favourite past times - cooking and baking!
and we made the dough from scratch too with help from our kitchenAid...
dough
(needs to sit at least 1 hour for it to rise, this gives it more depth in flavour as well as a better crust)
  • 2 cups plain flour
  • 1 tsp yeast
  • 1 1/2 tsp salt
  • 3/4 cups warm water
toppings
(preheat oven to 220 deg celsius and for our oven, the baking time was 10mins)
  • pasta sauce
  • mozzerella cheese
  • salami or ham or other meat
  • spinach leaves

A 5 room BTO flat.
A couple with a toddler and a newborn.
The home owner wanted to keep different zones in the home physically separated yet visually connected to the living and play area for the children. Hence the use of glass walls. Perfect for areas in the home like the study where privacy isn't priority.

Small Breakfast counter, good enough to sit 2!

The entrance foyer with seating beach cum shoe cabinet (lourve doors for ventilation). With matching laminate that turns from seating bench up to breakfast countertop. The ventilation blocks and pattern tiles lends a vintage vibe, allows partial views into the kitchen and bringing natural daylight further into other spaces.

WE love how this visually connectivity is happening in this home!
From the kitchen, you are able to view the telly too!
Most of our home owners like to be able to see the living from their kitchen wherever possible and also a breakfast counter to entertain their friends.
View from kitchen towards main gate and a full height shoe cupboard.

and we are back at the entrance.
Hope everyone has enjoyed the little house tour.

Wish everyone a Prosperous and Happy Lunar New Year!!!
Good health to one and all.
