this week, the flooring in the kitchen and bathrooms are done. Electrical works will start soon now that we have plastered the entire flat, that's because it used to have stucco wall...you know those rough textured walls which looks like protuding tiny dots?
it's ok to paint over them with new paint to give a new look, however because we have some parts of the home hacked and building new walls, these new areas will not have the stucco wall effect...so when we paint over, there's definitely going to look different somewhat....so we though it was better to plaster the whole flat so that all the walls look 'smooth'.
This week we are showcasing one of our recently completed resale flat at Empress Place. The couple has settled in for about 3 to 4 months now so the whole place has been nicely decorated. After staying/studying in Melbourne, Boston and Sydney for years, they have decided that Singapore is the place to call home! The flat used to belong to their auntie and they bought it over from her. And this is where we came in to help to renovate their place!
When asked where is their favourite part of their new flat...it was an unanimous answer - the kitchen! They loved it for its ample storage, long counter space for cooking and prep work and the built in dishwasher! We created lots of drawers and a full height pantry cupboard for all their dried stuff. The kitchen is also equipped with a microwave, built in oven, hood, 3 burner stove, fridge and washer.
Towards the back of the kitchen was an additional utility room which was done before the renovation started. That has now become the store cum laundry area. We have kept both bedrooms where one is now their study room and the store has been completely revamped into a walk in wardrobe.
The master is tight but good enough for a queen bed with side tables and has direct access to the bathroom. The bathroom has dual entry, one from the master and one from the kitchen as we combined both WC and bath together.
i shall let the photos do the talking now.
Have a good Monday ahead folks.
